Submit a Proposal to Present at Gifted in Color 2023
We welcome the expertise of scholars and educators from around the country whose professional and lived experiences coincide with our mission to build a more inclusive framework in gifted education. While all are welcome, Gifted in Color has an express desire to elevate the voices, expertise, and experiences of Black, Hispanic, and Indigenous presenters -- those whose brilliance is so often overlooked in both academic and institutional contexts. Priority will be given to presenters who identify as being from one of those groups.
Proposals will be evaluated on a rolling basis, and presenters will be notified of their acceptance status through

Session types:
Panel (75 minutes): Includes 3-5 people in a moderated discussion
Roundtable (45 minutes): Involves a facilitator or facilitators hosting small think-tank style discussions with participants seeking to tackle a specific problem or respond to a specific question
Poster Presentation (15 minutes): A discussion of research presented on a poster (usually reserved for students)
Keynote/Single Presenter (75 minutes): An interactive discussion led by a single individual
